Traveling by Rail.

1 April, 2011 § 1 Comment

Several weeks ago, I had the good fortune to take a $49 train ride to New Orleans and back during a four-day excursion. My first foray into the heartland of Louisiana’s Cajun territory, I only had a short time to explore the quirky city with its lacy metal arches, gaudy plastic beads and waving palm fronds — and I’m already looking forward to returning so I can better poke my way around its hidden nooks and crannies.
